Terms and Conditions

Effective April 24, 2026. These Terms govern access to TakenHire, including public booking flows, member accounts, paid coaching services, live sessions, and related communications.

1. Scope and Acceptance

  • These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of TakenHire, including our website, member dashboards, coaching workspaces, introductory call flow, live video sessions, billing tools, and related communications.

  • By accessing, creating an account for, booking through, or using TakenHire, you agree to these Terms. If you use TakenHire on behalf of a company or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind that party to these Terms.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

  • TakenHire is intended for adults who can form a binding agreement. You may not use the service if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable law.

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, for the accuracy of information you submit, and for activity that occurs through your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

3. What TakenHire Provides

  • TakenHire provides structured career coaching tools, interview practice, resume and career strategy support, session scheduling, and related progress and billing features. TakenHire is not a recruiting agency, staffing firm, or employer, and we do not guarantee interviews, job offers, compensation outcomes, or any particular career result.

  • Our services are educational and coaching-oriented. They are not legal, tax, financial, medical, mental health, or immigration advice.

4. Free Intro Calls and Anti-Abuse Rules

  • TakenHire may offer a limited free introductory session. Unless we state otherwise in writing, free intro eligibility is limited to one per person and may be enforced using account, email, booking, device, or related anti-abuse signals.

  • We may cancel, refuse, or block duplicate or abusive intro-call bookings, including where multiple accounts or email addresses are used to obtain repeated free access.

5. Purchases, Credits, and Booking Rules

  • Paid coaching services are accessed through the credit and booking model presented in the product at the time of purchase. Prices, credit pack contents, and session credit requirements may change from time to time.

  • Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise in writing, purchases are final, credits are non-transferable, credits have no cash value, and credits may only be used within the TakenHire service. Additional cancellation, rescheduling, late-arrival, or no-show rules shown at booking or checkout are part of these Terms.

6. Sessions, Recording, Transcript, and Summaries

  • TakenHire uses third-party video providers, including Zoom, to host coaching sessions. Sessions may be recorded, transcribed, summarized, and processed to support quality control, coach workflow, session recap generation, internal review, and member-facing coaching deliverables.

  • By joining a session hosted through TakenHire, you consent to any recording, transcript, meeting summary, and related session artifact handling disclosed in the product, in provider prompts, or in our Privacy Statement. If you do not consent, do not join the session.

  • Provider prompts, consent notices, and access rules may be controlled in part by the third-party video platform. Meeting access, recording availability, transcript status, and summary availability may depend on provider systems outside our direct control.

7. Member and Coach Content

  • You retain ownership of information you submit to TakenHire, but you grant TakenHire a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, and display that information as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service.

  • Do not upload or submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, abusive, invasive of another person's privacy, or that contains confidential third-party information you do not have permission to share. We may remove content or suspend access where we believe content or conduct creates legal, security, or product risk.

8. Acceptable Use

  • You may not misuse TakenHire, including by attempting unauthorized access, scraping or reverse engineering the service, interfering with booking or billing flows, impersonating others, evading eligibility or payment controls, or using the platform to transmit malware, spam, or fraudulent content.

  • We may investigate suspected abuse and may suspend or terminate accounts, bookings, credits, or access where we reasonably believe misuse, fraud, or unlawful activity has occurred.

9. Third-Party Services

  • TakenHire relies on third-party providers such as payment processors, cloud infrastructure providers, email providers, and video meeting vendors. Your use of certain features may also be subject to those providers' terms, policies, and operational constraints.

  • We are not responsible for outages, delays, consent prompts, authentication requirements, or policy changes imposed by third-party providers, although we may work to mitigate their impact where practical.

10. Intellectual Property

  • TakenHire and its related content, software, workflows, branding, designs, and materials are owned by TakenHire or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

  • Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, sublicense, sell, publicly redistribute, or create derivative works from the service except as expressly permitted by law or by us in writing.

11. Privacy and Communications

  • Our Privacy Statement explains how we collect, use, store, share, and retain personal information. By using TakenHire, you acknowledge that we may send you service-related emails and notices relating to accounts, bookings, sessions, security, and billing.

  • You are responsible for monitoring the email address associated with your account or booking, including spam or junk folders, for important service communications.

12. Disclaimers

  • TakenHire is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any session, recording, transcript, summary, coach recommendation, or billing workflow will always be available or complete.

  • We do not guarantee job placement, promotion, salary outcomes, interview success, or any specific result from using the platform or receiving coaching.

13. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, TakenHire and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, data, or use.

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, TakenHire's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to TakenHire for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

14. Indemnification

  • You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TakenHire and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your content, your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

15. Suspension, Termination, and Changes

  • We may suspend or terminate access to TakenHire, cancel bookings, or revoke credits where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect users, comply with law, respond to fraud or abuse, or maintain the integrity of the service.

  • We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we may update the effective date above and provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of TakenHire after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
